The chorus is Dave saying that despite Megadeth's drug addictions they have still come to be a great and successful band. The verses were just put together to make a little story, but the songs used in it were examples of some of said successes. |

Besides the obvious fact that it's about an annoying judgmental person, I think it might specifically be about an old friend because of the way in the beginning he talks about stabbing in the back and how they constantly fight, just like ex-friends would. |
