| First Aid Kit – Hard Believer Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I don't think this song is directed to a boyfriend or any one person in particular. I think it's just anyone who is overly religious and preachy about it. The person speaking is either an atheist or a secularist, and they wish to live life because they love to, not because they feel like they need to dedicate all their time to some nosy control-freak up in the sky. :) | |

So you ask for my opinion, Well what is there to say? To be honest, and just foolish won't make you want to stay. You've got to go on and get moving, and I can't do that for you. Got so many plans and so much you want to do. Love is tough, time is rough, Love is tough, Time is rough on me. Well I see you've got your Bible, you delusion imagery. Well I don't need your eternity, or your meaning to feel free. I just live because I love to, and that's enough, you see? So don't come preach about morality, that's just human sense to me. Love is tough, time is rough, Love is tough, Time is rough on me, on me, on me. And it's one life, and it's this life, and it's beautiful. (X4) Love is tough, Time is rough on me. |

| Mumford & Sons – After the Storm Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think the meaning of this song is simple enough: better times will come. It's an extremely hope-based song. A person could either interpret it to be religious or secular, it's entirely up to the individual. I don't think Mumford & Sons wanted people to be tied down to only one interpretation, as though there's some sort of "correct" answer. It's art, and therefor its meaning is subjective to the viewer. | |
