Indeed "from which I parachute"! Every internet page has the wrong version. How do they hear "from which I cherish you"?

Thank you, kali93

This song indeed sounds very romantic, but I was always wondering: was it HIM who EXPLODED the bridge? Or what was he doing there under a pylon knee deep in water? And what else could be the sound that scared his girl in the night? Why did he do that?

The landlord is a bar keeper who pays musicians who played at his place. A "last call for alcohol" is the last time when visitors can order a drink before the bar closes.

I think, the meaning of this song is quite clear. It's about a jazzman who's house was robbed by a person (supposedly, a girl) whom he trusted. The "key made out of wax" is a movie cliché, where somebody takes a box filled with wax or some similar substance, impress the key into it, and use this mold to copy the key. The author means that the girl somehow copied his key to enter his house while he was absent, and so only he's heart "got a-broken", not the door, and the security at the entrance was perhaps drunk. He also notes that if the girl had intelligence, she could use to do robbery his twelve keys of the bars in which he played. The final passage where everyone sadly stands at the street supposes that the jazzmen perhaps shared his house with his buddies.
