This song is about war on the surface, but if you dig a little deeper it's easy to see that war, in this case, is a metaphor. The song is about performing on stage. "Let me hear the battle cry, calling on the wind." That's referring to the roar of the crowd. The "enemy" is the hatred and negativity in life. The very things we go to a concert to escape from, to celebrate human potential with other like minded persons. "Once shot at glory" means as a performer, you have one night, one chance to blow people's minds. There's no take two. It's a live performance. You get, literally, one shot at glory. An amazing song. Jesus those solos. Fuck me. |

This song is obviously about sex. But more specifically it's about GAY sex. "Than we raise together." He's talking about two men achieving erection simultaneously. The rest is pretty self explanatory. Nothing cryptic about this song. |

This song is about being touring and being on the road. The "they" in question are the band and crew. "Fist flying, eyes blazing. They're glory bound." They are comparing themselves to warriors. The song follows the most common theme in Judas Priest. Bringing the metal to the masses. That's what Hell Patrol is all about. |
