I think it's pretty clear this song is about a call girl, or possibly an exotic dancer.
Fun song, but I'm not sure the message is all that positive. |

@ no BS: Just a guess here, but I think it's a reference to people before the Great Flood. All of mankind failed God (save for one family), and the waters began to rise.
Again, just a guess, but I think it fits. |

I agree it's probably about her mother/grandfather.
However for me personally, it's about God. Him being there and being my "Hero through it all" and "Never giving up on me". |

I think you're right, but I think it's deeper than that. More like, we all have our own "Sirens" that we have to face and overcome. |

I think this song is not as over-arching as some think it is. The references to "You and me we're gonna be all right, we're gonna shake the ground, we're gonna touch the sky..." seems far more personal to me. Almost like it's encouraging us to let our dreams lead our own way and not let the World tell us we can't or shouldn't or won't. |

Personally, I wonder if this song is about her own eventual death. Referencing the other songs (Prayers, Ashes, etc.) there is clearly some belief in God here. Is her (i.e. our own) death a tragedy on earth, and beautiful in Heaven? |
