Ingrid Michaelson – Breakable Lyrics 14 years ago
In the second meaning:

Maybe the "two-ton death trap" is a metaphor for heart break. It's not about the persay. Once you're in love it could "crash" at any moment. It can leave you hurt and broken just like a car. When you get in a car you basically put your safety in the car (assuming the driver is great at driving) just as you give your heart to somebody; the safety of their heart is in your hands..

Just a few thoughts distracting me from homework.

Jaymay – Sycamore Down Lyrics 14 years ago
I love this song. Now I'm no expert but I think think it about a love that isn't necessarily easy. The first part could be about her lover not having a great childhood. They never had someone to talk to, they could expression themselves because nobody care. The map of their soul started changing due to the fact they had to hid things inside. They acted out and did bad things because of this. She wants them to tell her what they've done so that they can love freely but she won't tell them about her. She feels bad she can't open up when she expects them to. The sycamore tree in some aspect represent protection. Her their (her lover) protection is falling and so is hers. They can actually start loving each other without walls (the ground is glistening). Finally I think it's about this person not being good at loving and treating her badly after she took down her walls.
