It's about committing arson to something he owns, so it's not really illegal, but immoral. He blames it on 'a rush of blood to the head' and I think he means adrenaline. After it's over with he feels remorse and just wants to get out of the place. By saying 'and I know the mistakes that I've made; see it all disappear without trace' he means he knows what he's done, but with arson, there is very little evidence. That's just my basic interpretation- being a crime scene analyst. |

| I honestly don't know the meanings for the rest of the song but it almost sounds like they're talking about that moment when you wake up and you feel fine and ready, then reality sets in with such clarity. | |
