I always felt this song was about overcoming a past of violent reactions. It's about not letting the rage others incite to allow you to lose control of yourself. "You'll never get it inside" is about not letting others get to you and allow you to lose control. "You push it back down" is about keeping your anger down and forcing yourself to remain calm even when you want to violently lash out "Blackout, Blood in your eye" is about the urge to do violence and not letting it occur. This isn't probably a true literatl interpretation, this is just what I personally took away from the song. |
