A lot of the lyrics kind of give it away, like: - "certainly not the average girl" (dope reference) - "She' my best friend, better than a dog or cat" (because heroin is better than a dog, maybe not a cat) - "Oh, it hurts to be that way" (he's coming down of his run) - "Oh, it hurts to know that you're that kinda fellow" (he's a junkie), - "Here's to Newspaper Joe, dropped his teeth on the floor Caught his hand in the door Guess that's the way the news goes" (another person overdosed) - "Turn around, I'm by the window where the light is" (he's shooting up) you get the rest... and song is so catchy |
