First of all its crazy how there hasn't been a comment in 8 years. But since this song has been written Issac has become and stayed sober. This song isn't about "American corrupt morals." Its about is weak addictive state before rock bottom("Are you going to get sick worrying about your health? Where do I land?"). In interviews Isaac would say he would write and think while in on tour ("Walk across the country, shaking many hands") their van, cooped up, getting fucked up, driving not sober, with the breath of not being sober ("Well, take a drive in the wrong hand lane. Got bad breath talking about fresh rain") Chill with the overanalyzing. |

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER from The Man himself. "It was a completely conscious thing. I was just kind of fed up with how bad shit had been going, and how dark everything was, with bad news coming from everywhere. Our president is just a fucking daily dose of bad news! Then you’ve got the well-intentioned scientists telling us that everything is fucked. I just want to feel good for a day. -Isaac Brock (about Float On)" <3333 **also, everyone should really like The Props http://www.facebook.com/theprops They are from Phily tryna make it in Texas. |
