| I think this song is about what he wished would have happened in the situation of the breakup but instead his wishes were crushed again and again. It also talks about his own issues he's "a bit strange and a little bit manic" which made it hard for them to get along. He also talks about when he would try to fix things between them things would get blown out of proportion and they'd fight "gonna pop better duck and cover".
