The answer is right in front of us but we cannot see it seems to be the most popular interpretation of the line "the answer is blowing in the wind". But i like to see this line more like: The answer is moving with the wind, traveling. Wind being air in movement - and an element that binds us all....we all breath the same air and live on the same planet. We can see the answer, but we can not catch it and contain it...it's blowing in the wind. |

When you say your "head is in the clouds" that usually means day dreaming and in another sense, it means distracted. I think this song is trying to say that when you are on/in your cloud, you have peace of mind and the singer is complaining about outsiders disrupting his inner peace...that's all "get off of my cloud. the 1st verse is about media and advertising the 2nd is friends bothering him with a phone call to talk about nothing. the 3rd is the establishment punishing him for falling asleep in his car. |

I am at a point in my life where I make good money and I am comfortable...also, my work consists sporadic contracts which sometimes leaves me with many days off. so right now I don't have work for a month and I often feel like this: "I've got no plans and too much time I feel too restless to unwind" well said! this line captures so much how I feel these days |
