I think this song is about TV preachers (over water land and sky) it talks about an old lady writing out a check (i.e. to Oral Roberts Ministries... ) and it is talking about people who are preying on the poor and living rich and lavishly i.e. a television preacher it's a response to a request for money from a tv preacher - and the hypocricy of those teachers obviously whoever wrote this song was either burned by religion or they knew someone who was very poor who gave a lot of their money to religion - and it is expressing a lot of anger about it - I dont' think this song is about Head at all. It is from someone who has been burned by their church or by a tv preacher or they knew someone who was. those are my thoughts anyway |
