Continuing the discussion about the relationship between I Would Be Sad and If It's The Beaches. These might be relation to other Avett Brothers songs as well. November Blue is about leaving a girl behind and it being a very hard separation. Denouncing November Blue is a follow up from that one and says "I left town she stayed behind, I said I'd call, she said she'd try. We lost touch the moment I drove off." In I Would Be Sad, Scott sings "if she doesn't call, than its her fault, and its her loss." Just a thought. |
