Glad I'm a simple man. Would be cool to look back at the earth from the moon. Just don't know how I'm going to get there. One day!!! |

I can see others arguments about this song and are valid points, however I can also see the premise of this song as being a persons struggle through the journey of life. The highs and lows of growing older trying to find ones place in there journey of life. The thirst for wisdom and finding inner peace and the freedom that would bring. But who knows. |

Wow, there are obviously many difficult questions throughout this song, that have equally challenging answers. How are they just blowing in the wind. For I have never been able to see the wind, I can only see or feel the effects, good or bad. However, the outcome or aftermath from a bad storm is real, but not always predictable. In some ways like a difficult decision, outcomes are not always easy to deal with for everyone involved. Good and bad always comes from any decision. |

| Robert Johnson – Cross Road Blues Lyrics

Well I haven't heard the song to be able to get a sence of feeling in his voice, however, being at a crossroad is usually a defining moment in one's life. So in that understaning I would hope that one would remain true to one's soul when standing at the fork in the road. For most of us know that every decision effects others in our lives and remaining true to your soul would hopefully make it easier on those who might be effected negatively by your choice to heal. At least they could accept that, that's just who you are. But for our sake, we just want to hear some mighty fine pickin and a singin. I sure hope it was worth selling his soul. There is always a price to pay, He was crying out for mercy at the end, that's a pretty sad place to be, so what does that say about us, the listener. Guess we weren't worth his soul. I guess I wont listen to the song, I can't have that on my conscience. |
