I believe the Fiend Without A Face is someone that is inside all of us. At an early age we are taught to behave a certain way, we have our morality and our ethics shoved down our throats. We quite often forget that we are savage beasts just like any other living creature on the planet. Deep down there is that "fiend" that wants nothing to do with societal norms or behavioral expectations. The "fiend" is the one that wants to rip someones throat out, therefore seeing the features of one's rage. This interpretation might not have anything to do with the Misfits song, but that's how I use the phrase Fiend Without A Face in my life. Not to mention it's an awesome movie from the 50's. |
