The Beatles – The Fool on the Hill Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree with some of the comments here that it's about doing what you love or being yourself regardless of what other people are saying, but I can't help thinking about a whole new meaning with reference to the lines "but the fool on the hill / sees the sun going down / and the eyes in his head / see the world spinning round." For me it says that sometimes we get too caught up with our own world, which is the hill that we're in (we're the fools, in that case), and from there we witness what's happening with the "real world" where real things happen and yet we don't do anything about it. We get to see how things are going, how good and evil things happen each day, but we're just there "day after day, alone on the hill".

Something like that.

If speaking in general, I would want to go with this interpretation as well.

I only heard a mumble after "oh", but I definitely agree that it's a swear word lol

Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks Lyrics 14 years ago
This song is like a chant. It corrupts your mind with its light beat but heavy lyrics. What's disturbing is it pretty much tells the truth - that this world is a sad and lonely place for some people.

I love the irony of this song.
