The Anniversary – Emma Discovery Lyrics 5 years ago
This is incredible!
I think this song is about remembering childhood.
It begins with a reminder of the painful present.
The line "Place problems on a shelf to sit and die" is a reference to the song "Chesterfield King" by Jawbreaker.

The chorus is about remembering a time in 1982, when the band members would have been young children.
The song title could refer to the name of a childhood friend who the person loved. The song describes the feelings of curiosity, imagination, and exploration people remember from childhood.
"Turn down the lights so now I can die" means that that their childhood has ended forever and they can never return to it, except in their memories which are lifelong.

The verse "Under the water" refers to an imaginary place the lyricist created, either with their childhood friend, or perhaps in the present, using their childlike sense imagination to escape from the pain.

Skrillex – Kyoto Lyrics 12 years ago
On the surface, the lyrics appear to be a cynical self exploration of hedonism. Skrillex and Sirah write lyrics that are usually silly and non-serious, but convey a deeper truth, through implied sarcasm. To me, this song is about the excess lifestyle of the young and careless. It's ridiculously over the top, but that's the whole point.

Texas In July – 1000 Lies Lyrics 14 years ago
In my opinion, this song is just kind off self-centered. It's just him saying he became a better person all by himself, and it sounds a little conceited. I don't know if it's supposed to be encouraging to others or what, because other than that, it doesn't really have a deeper meaning to me. The lyrics are really artistic and poetic though, and it's well written, just audacious.
