I certainly agree with the community about this being a great song but I've got a problem with the lyrics that are posted here (and elsewhere). There will inevitably be problems when an NZ song takes some of its character from a very upfront Brit frontman but: Surely it isn't "don't push your love too far"? For me, that doesn't make seem to work contextually or linguistically. Must be "luck" rather than "love". That verse is really scary statement from a back alley fighter. It fits the period. |
