| Woodkid – I Love You Lyrics
|
Whatever I feel for you
You only seem to care about you
This just about sums it up. The singer is in love and their loved one isn't. The singer wants attention from the other person, but they're too self involved to care or just don't want to get attached. |

It seems he's fallen in love which is weird for him because he's a player. His world has changed, he is now happy and 'in trouble'. He thinks the love 'won't go away' and just wants to go home with her. |

The album version also has another verse at the end. Don't know if these are 100% correct, but it goes like this:
Greener pastures in the future
Greener pastures just for me
I'll find a girl and then another
I'll find them all for me |

| The Honorary Title – Stay Away Lyrics
|
Best line:
"You're using me, do it slowly
Make it last until I have to go..."
The singer either wants the other person to commit to them or stay away, and there's a whole lot of patience involved. |

| MNDR – Stay Lyrics

MNDR: "This song was written really late. It's about moments in your life when you're doing something and you're involved with something and you know you need to see it through. You want to stay in the moment when you're most happy or most in love, but you're moving on. You want to be frozen and you can't be. Whether that's a relationship or just a time in your life, it's about life's ups and downs, about wanting to be frozen in the good moments." |

| MNDR – #1 in Heaven Lyrics

Quoting MNDR, "#1 in Heaven is about Patty Hearst and the moment she really lost it." The chorus "Tell them I'm smiling and send my greetings." is a pulled quote from Hearst herself. |

| MNDR – I Go Away Lyrics

It is pretty simple, they are in a relationship they don't want to be in, and they want out. MNDR herself said that she wanted to write a song without metaphors, and that at the point of her life when she wrote it, she just wanted to go away. |

| Chromatics – Lady Lyrics

Quite self explanatory: a guy is still in love with a lady that is now far away from him. He wants to get back with her, but if she does this time she needs to commit. |

| Penguin Prison – Something I'm Not Lyrics
| 13 years ago
|
|
A person that has trouble controlling themselves, they got lost in procrastination and never get anything done. They can't decide, they're forgetful, they waste their time... but they don't want to pretend being something that they are not... and when they have to be responsible, they just take their car out for a ride to clear their head. |

| Pacific Air – Float Lyrics

Maybe about a person trying to find that fine line between one night stands and an actual relationship?
Or a line between showing their feelings too soon in a relationship and scaring away the other person? |

| Azari & III – Reckless (With Your Love) Lyrics
| 13 years ago
|
|
It's about couple that has broken up. The singer says their ex is now promiscuous because of the breakup, but they feel jealous when the singer gets close to someone else. The singer feels like the ex is a stranger because they lied to them and now they can't feel anything for them (the ex is also in 'disguise' possibly meaning that they live on lies, they're never true to themselves). The singer is slowly moving on (getting stronger every day), while the ex continues drowning deeper in promiscuity. |

My favorite Shins song. <3
For me it is about breaking free from rules, commitments, people, pretty much anything... Living free, not caring what other people say. |

| Chromatics – Cherry Lyrics

|
I think it is about a person dealing with a breakup, realizing that the woman - in this instance titled Cherry - is not perfect. The second verse insinuates that she uses people when she needs them, but when she's done she breaks up with them (the first verse) even though the other person was waiting for her to fall in love (and maybe already was in love). |
