I think there are several wrong interpretations here, which I was shocked by because I feel the message is so conspicuous! Atleast, for the people who can make a personal connection to this song. This song is not necessarily about an affair or a couple Once in love. It is about a guy who wants to win over a girl's heart. Although his girlfriend maybe somewhat content with him, she will never be able to love this guy to the same extent he does, because she is still in love with her ex. She is not trying to be evil; she is just still hurt and it kills him. He may have her in his arms, but she has another man in mind. How can he please somebody who has already experienced the best things in life? It really sucks when someone you love so badly, cannot give you more than physical needs because they are still in love with someone else. And that's what this song is about. |
