they remind me in ways of INXS...there is the initial listen to the songs, with initial reaction (whether that be negative or positive)...but then, you listen to the words & realize the meaning hidden in there...definitely been awhile since a worthy group like this has come around! |

its not morbid to think of drugs or the party scene if this is what the artists intended, but i definitely listen to this to uplift my mood...this has to be my most favorite song in a long time!
i took the words less literally & when hands are tied up to the chair, meant that it was a coping strategy to keep yourself up when youre falling...& taking a sip of something poison is as one of the commentors said...by just dealing with the choice you made...it just has to be accepted & ride the situation through to the end...
we all go through hardships & sometimes those hardships are those times when we party hard...like in my early 20's...its a tough time...but i can completely relate this to my life in my mid-30's with all the difficult situations to have arisen & how many times ive picked myself up & continued...difficulties never go away...its all about getting through challenges with a positive attitude & if you look up the meaning of the name Helena...it means shining light...bright torch! so this song reminds me to never lose my shine! i love it! |
