Patrick Stump – Allie Lyrics 14 years ago
This is about Patricks experiences as a teenager with a girl named Allie, combined with some stories of a girl named Anna.

When he was 15 Allie wanted to have sex with him but he was too scared back then. He only lost his virginity when he was 19. So now being 27 he feels he's become more skiilled in the bedroom and if he knew what he did now he and her could have "You should've taught me such naughty things"

Allie used to carry a condom around in her front pocket. Referenced in these lines:

"You said you were protected
I thought you meant you had a gun"

On a side note, he wishes he had taken her up on her offer back then when they were younger because a few years later she ended up getting knocked up during high school. So he regrets that theres no way he'd be able to show her up now. Referenced below, hes saying how it doesnt matter anymore. Wherever she is now he doesnt care.

Whenever you find it
It's none of my business
Now wherever you go go go
It's not my concern

Allie only gave him one more chance at a party to have sex with her. But with Anna she gave him a few more times.

He's pretty much just writing songs about being nostalgic for the past but knowing now what he wouldnt have known back then it doesnt really matter either way.

Everybody wants somebody -- The meaning is about Buddhism. The basis of Buddhism is that suffering comes from wanting. He ties it in nicely making it sound like its a relationship, which is one way of thinking. But in the end, no matter what you want, you're going to want something else. And because of that wanting you're going to be unhappy.
