i cant im the first one to write something. especially since its not just on their ep. i think that it means that the relationship that started was a bit unconventional, and everything kind of confusing, and they had no idea of what was happening, and now after all the confusion they reflect on how far they've gotten. in the second stanza, he is probably saying that the girl he is with is very quiet and keeps to herself, often not opening to israel. but everything going on in her life was so stressing that he wanted to be her relief where she could open up to. third stanza: she's no longer in her comfort zone where she started before they became involved, and things are strange being with him, but they are in it together and they have to balance life and love at the same time. fourth stanza: reflecting on their relationship again, he notes that it was strange at first, but something happened that made them fall in love. the part about looking like a river might be that the relationship looked bumpy and slow going at first (as rivers tend to be) but then turned out to be a swift moving, smooth freeway. in the last part, "i've never been this ready" hes never been in such a deep and great love as he is now, and he doesn't ever want to not be with her. he wants to do something that he was never quite so ready of before..... mariage. i love all blind pilot. die hard fan and i want to go to their nov concert here in LA!!!!!! whoooo!!! |

| hmmmm, you guys might be right, but whenever i hear the song, i think of cheating on a girlfriend. i have cheated on my girlfriend twice, and i felt so terrible and self loathing and i thought there was something wrong with me to cheat on an angel. (he thinks he has a disease or thee is something wrong). and i thought i was on my last chance (he says hes on his last leg). and he knows he isnt that great for her but even though he hasnt been good for her, she takes him back. and hes happy that she took him back (he says they are the perfect pair, and they can start again). then again, what does a sixteen year old boy know right? its just what i think of in this kickass song | |
