| The theme of this song seems to be loneliness. The term "ripped" is sometimes used to describe someone who is stoned, and I believe that the author is describing the life of 'stoners' who are stuck in a life of loneliness. The ripped ones are finding that their interactions with others are ending in goodbyes rather than in invitations and that they seem to never find other people whom they can be connected to. The ripped ones wish to feel "attached" and "shared", and they watch while the other 'normal' people have the relationships and the feelings that the ripped ones wish they could have and feel. | |
