I think you people are dumb for saying it has anything to do with god. I think it's the opposite. I think it's about understanding what we are and who we are. We are animals programmed by instinct. Our codex is our DNA not the bible. It's about evolving ourselves to have a purpose and to have a meaningful life other than blindly following some crap religion or just living a pointless existence. The previous song on this album, conquer, is about conquering that challenge to find our purpose. This song capitalizes on that by saying that we have the power to forge our own paths, to overcome the temptations of our instincts and to live our lives to our maximum potential. All we have to do to achieve that is realize there is something more to our lives than just living. If god is the only thing you can motivate yourself to live for than so be it. I live for making something out of nothing. |

Yeah this is another well written song by one of my favorite bands. This one is about finding purpose in your life. It mentions how we are lost without some kind of purpose but what we have to work with is hard to understand. I think this song is about carving your own path and not letting people choose it for you. I think this song ties really well into the next song on the album, codex. In order to understand how we affect everything else in this world we have to first learn who we are as individuals and what it means to be human. |

It's about a man who is confronted with the decision of having sex with his friend who is a married woman. He knows that having the affair would be damaging to both their morals and therefore, their lives but he chooses to sleep with her anyway. In the end, she resents him for making the decision that caused her turmoil in her marriage and her life. She then accuses him and blames him before abandoning him forever. |

yeah, leadoffGK is right. this whole song is supposed to be a metaphorical view of how a zombie thinks and feels. it talks about how they find some kind of enjoyment out of death and eating people and on the other hand it says they been waiting for "someone to come here and save me" and "come here, kill me, and set me free." which is referring to how they can't help what they are doing but they do it anyway. |

its kind of obvious what this song is talking about because its part of the soundtrack for the ZOMBIES part of call of duty but its about fighting zombies. throughout the song it talks about how she has every reason to kill as much as possible and in the chorus it talks about how she can see them everywhere which is referring to how she is swarmed by them and they are descending on her and that they are unrelenting. the song title comes in to describe the chaos. instead of being afraid of the horde she finds beauty out of killing it and enjoys the mass murder. quite pleasant. |
