I think this song is about being consumed by your hatred or fear of someone/thing. Working so hard to protect your family or relationship that you don't enjoy the time you get with them, always feelling jittery, and that storm clouds are always waiting for him once the good times are over. Also growing insecure, as though the TV is watching them. |

This song is interesting, because it seems to simple compared to most of muse's songs. I think it is about the commercial world, with lopsided and models, being welcomed in as people can only see the good side, the side celebrities show on TV. Only after the whole nation is melted and fallen into the suppermassive black hole from which there is no escape, will it reveal its true colours, with most celebrities being spoilt and to rich for their own good. Great song, though. |
