I'd like to say I known and listen to this song since it has came out, and several aspects attracted me to this song.. I see for the meaning some suggested child abuse, what I feel it may be about, is something out worldly. When the sudden appearance of Extra Terrestials visit's her with their light is why she "feels like she turns to stone". Is the sudden unexpected visit of a ET when she is alone.. She tells herself to be strong because she does not know what will happen. But apparently things are not as bad as once thought.. Because they are now calling her Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home Calling, calling, calling home Touch my own skin And hope they'll still be there She can't believe what is happening and does not know what to make of it, but they are not posing a threat to her, so she hopes "they'll still be there" She has been having recurrent visits from Extra Terrestials .. This song has nothing to do with atheism. This song came out around the time when there was scandals going on within some Christian churches here in the USA. While there was scandals going on in some churches, mainly in the televangelist tv programs, it certainly does not represent other Christian churches. When it comes down to it, we really can only know the truth about this song from the person who created it :) |
