in my opinion, the guy is not over the girl. he clearly let her go and now he is contemplating about the fact that she is gone. parts of the song, is him talking about somewhat being tricked into being in love, "was it all a joke" he was afraid of falling, but he fell for her, and now she's gone and he's regretting it. -first hand experience. my ex put this on page, a week after we split, and i was trying to figure out what he meant by it, and it's basically him regretting he let me go. |
