I really love both this song and ur interpretation of it! I agree with the entire 1st part. One constant in G's lyrics r waves, I feel to him they r where he hides or perhaps self medicated from possible depression. I was diagnosed with that some time ago and found myself doing the same. As far as G, their is a fine line between genus and mental issues, even minor one's! He's def a lyrical genus!...Toward the end, I feel he is saying, u got urself in u can get urself out, other's rely on a higher power, he had an amazing support network, his family! "All my Life" says it all! Thanks

I agree with ur interpretation of "Forever May U Run", my only difference in belief is he is speaking originally in 1st hand, something he experienced1 I have my opinions, though often upset others with them, so I will just say I had an"issue" I sruggle with daily. I feel he was lonely b4 he had a family and they inspired him to, be "strong"! I feel as the song progresses he is speaking to others like him, encouraging them, I feel is correct terminology. I always questioned "you did it all to yourself". at the end! I can't make it out to br matterof factly, or encouraging; for example you g9ot into this mess u must be the one to get yourself out! I can't believe that this song was #5 on the charts last I checked yet 1 response! My fav song on Sea of Memories is All Night Doctors,but this one is great to. Obviously, being that several years have gone by with no Bush, Gavin has matured, married, had children, ect. This song reflects his growth! He's got his head on strait! I think, "I don't want to lean on the waves" goes back to Swallowed. A reference to a passed life with drugs...I love the line "Medusa smiles,Judas lips" could Gavin be kissing another; I'll find out on Oct 13 when I go to their concert, I wish!...Still it always comes back to self control and one person he is willing to "walk through the fires" to find paradise with "in the golden sands."...What he wants ultimately is obtainable if he keeps priorities straight.

It's a dark,rainy night, tv's on but muted and snowy.They can only c eachother buy the light remaining from the tv and sterio. I feel they either r not intimate on a regular basis or it's early on in the relationship. I love the line, "Flicker on the tv screen,everything's more than it seems". He's trapped in that moment and every second counts and seems grandiose. He's almost attemting to commit every moment and the feel of her velvety skin to memory. Perhaps he doesn't expect another moment such as this again?

I think Gavin is over looking his life choices and where he may have went wrong,doing drugs, probably speedballing heroin and cocaine...This was written when he and Gwen were apart and ready to take on separate projects. If I'm correct,Rock Steady was just released and doing very well. I think that's where the lines, "How's it feel she's coming up roses.How's it feel she's coming up sweet." and he feels odd because in the beginning No Doubt opened for them!..."Speed kills", I agree is in refrence to drugs,likely speedballing.
