The Rolling Stones – Honky Tonk Women Lyrics 24 years ago
I love this song! It ain't a "deep" song or anything like that, but it just rocks like a bitch! :)

Joan Osborne – One Of Us Lyrics 24 years ago
God was indeed one of us at one time, in the person of Jesus Christ. It's a decent song, though I think it borders a bit on the sacreligious. Speaking for myself, just MHO.

Led Zeppelin – Carouselambra Lyrics 24 years ago
It's hard as hell to understand the lyrics in this song, but dammit it's a great song, nonetheless.

Queen – The Miracle Lyrics 24 years ago
I'm not sure if the members of Queen are/were religious in any way, but I think this song was sort of a way to tell the world that despite all of mankinds efforts at fixing his problems, ultimately we need God to fix it for us. Look at our history: Slavery, communism, fascism, hatred, etc... We've had millennia to try and fix our problems, yet we've failed time and time again. Like the song says, "It's a miracle we need".

Queen – The Show Must Go On Lyrics 24 years ago
I like to think that this song was about Freddie's attitude in the face of his final stages of AIDS. He knew he was dying, but he fought up to the very end. I think he felt that he couldn't give up. Life is a battle, but despite whatver comes our way, the show must go on. Also, I think that it was a way for Freddie to tell the world that despite his illness, he continued to make music up until the very end. He loved his fans, and I think he wanted to please them as long as it was humanly possible for him to do so.

Pink Floyd – A Great Day for Freedom Lyrics 24 years ago
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The last two lines bring back a bad memory from my life. "I turned and I looked at you, And all but the bitter residue slipped away...." The closing instrumental piece is really powerful.

Pink Floyd – Coming Back to Life Lyrics 24 years ago
Hey AnimalChin, I'm with you. Although I love the "old" Pink Floyd, IMHO they've solidly demonstrated that they don't need Roger Waters. This song kicks major ass.

Milli Vanilli – Blame It On The Rain Lyrics 24 years ago
Of course, I'm sure the frauds who lip-synched this song would love to put the blame on anybody but them. (At least, the one that's still alive.)

Actually, the song is pretty appropriate in displaying their complete hypocrisy.

Read "Dune" and this song will make sense to you. Otherwise, you'll be lost.

Led Zeppelin – No Quarter Lyrics 24 years ago
I like this song because it has a "dark" quality to it, if that makes sense. It brings the mood down some.

Led Zeppelin – Achilles Last Stand Lyrics 24 years ago
This is just a damn good song. It has all the qualities of Zep that make me such a big fan. Epic lyrics and music, and a touch of mysticism.

Queen – Fat Bottomed Girls Lyrics 24 years ago
Well, since I like women with big behinds, I naturally like this song. :o)

Damn, it just rocks!

Queen – These Are The Days Of Our Lives Lyrics 24 years ago
Everytime I hear this song it makes me want to cry. That's about all I can say. I listen to it and wish that I could also "turn back the clock".

Queen – Innuendo Lyrics 24 years ago
This song is what really got me hooked on Queen. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan until Freddie had already passed on. Since then I've saturated myself with some of their earlier work. Innuendo has a mystical quality to it which, IMHO, puts it up there with other songs such as Kashmir or Achilles Last Stand. (Again, IMHO.) Being a big Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant fan, I was really pleased when Robert Plant performed this tune at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in '92. I think Freddie would have been very proud.
