| I think it has to do with how redundant and unsure people are, repeating themselves just to make sure something is truly finished, or to get the last word, when really, when it comes right down to it, death is what has the final word. The song being so loop-like, a repetition, it could have gone on longer. Just like the song, we could keep going through our routine, but the song ends, and we die. | |

It's really hard to tell what this means, and the tedious interpretation I give you will be based entirely on opinion. "You've lost your focus, but I've got a plan for it, with a secret ingredient... Just leave alone the Gemini's, there's two of them and four of eyes." I feel like that would be those that are in on it, they see what's happening, what's being planned, despite what everyone else has >forgotten< the meaning of. (Pay attention to the word forgot, since the chorus indeed begins with "Is it amnesia?") Silver hours makes me think of time and activities that used to be so cherished, and then became usual. Just using the word silver in it says that to me, since things of silver tend to be important to people. People >forgot< how precious the moments were. "Their boats are full of flames. They paint their grasses green. Repeating history. They don't say what they mean." At first this seems a lot like deception, but I think it's more of bright-sided thinking and denying what you feel while ending up doing everything you >forgot< was prior tried and failed. FINALLY "There's a dog in the yard with a manner that's ruff, yet there's something about you that he understands. The girl at the window covered in ashes smiles grotesquely in the light of day, singing in German, the cold summer warning, but I can't remember what I meant to say." I think, and I could be drastically over thinking, that the girl and the dog are 'the ones who know,' the Gemini, in on the plan to remind people of everything they became ignorant of. Like I said, totally opinionated, most likely inaccurate, but that's what it is to me. |
