Okay so the song, is about a man who catches his girlfriend cheating on him with a sex tape, that's what the beginning is, she tapped over one of their memories or soemthing and that's how he found out, he plans con killing them, but reconsiders that action and proceeds to catch him and her in the act, as he does he's over come with rage, and video tapes himself beating them, and drowning them. he makes several comments on the video too, asking "what have you chosen today to epilate between your thighs" epilation is the process of removing hair, and then he watches as the man proceeds to give her head. He also decides to prove that the girl is a slut and sends the video to friends and family. he tried to poison and shoot the man and girl at the end, instead he misses his shot and they fall into water they were suspended over, causing them to slowly die. the end is a reference to the beginning talking of taping over their Elysian(divine) smiles, and thats how he did it, he video taped them dying and his ultimate revenge was watching it over and over. |

I speak fluent german...this is how the lyrics would appear in English, in the correct format. They aren't a band that gives exact verbs and meanings, they leave things open for interpretation. They purposely create controversy like this, perfect example Du hast, they created an English version of the song, to confuse people, the lyrics translate to "you have me" not you "you hate me" they've admitted to it. They like to play with words and phrasing, and metaphors. It goes deeper than...oh hey I did this, and then this, and it made me feel this way. The feelings are in his voice the words are not going to be then, obvious. |
