It's about not understanding. "Are you just too fucked up to understand me or is it the other way around?" And that line that you quote, it's him not realizing that the reason she dislikes him is because he doesnt listen, like the beginning of the song says. He says the stereotypical thing that a young guy would say. He would call her a whore, he put it alot better in the song, "satisfied all of your carnal desires". He doesnt see its so much more in a relationship then sex. That is what the song is saying |

Ezra said how this song is about his unemployed friend. How its hard to watch him not get a real job, and how the friend is giving up. I believe the idea to "spare yourself the razor" isnt honest, more sarcastic. Like that times will be hard, and you cant give in. The idea that the friend is wondering why try and Ezra is trying to motivate by saying no one wants you, why try. |

I love this song, I think its the best on the album. I think its about someone who really hurt him and how he's saying that though she left, he will haunt her, that she will miss him so much and there will be nothing she can do about it. |
