I think Jack and Meg are the Candy Cane Children. They intentionally portrey themselves as childish and : "Nobody knows how to talk to children" means that they are the children and the rest of the world don't understand them, a lot of their song are about lonlieness and how they are not like everyone else (eg: Do, As Ugly As I Seem, I'm Lonley but I Ain't That Lonley Yet, Forever for Her is Over For Me, Offend in Every Way... ect..). I think they're saying they are not people they are the Candy Cane Childern and the last line "and you think it might be fun to make a stand...think again man" means that when they try to explain that, they are noone listens.------(thats just my personal view, i could be wrong!!) |
