| She is saying that she can only peacefully be when she is sleeping for her mention of tears whilst awake is pain and wanting of a reality similar to the one she can only get whilst asleep. She can't let go of this person and will keep close to her bed for all her life to come. I don't think this song is sad because she seems know that she wants just to sleep for the rest of her days in order to be close to whom she has lost. Loneliness does come when you wake and you are alone especially when half your heart is gone. I know I would be the same if touch wood, anything happened to my best friend my love and my life. I would sleep,dream...be close to him in anyway possible. | |
