So I know that this song is about God. I know that it's about a person sinning and then going back to God. But for me, I have come up with another meaning. My boyfriend cheated on me, (I Have been unfaithful) (I've loved another) He asked me for forgiveness, (Forgive me now) He still loves me (But this heart belongs to you alone) And I gave him another chance, (All the promises and lies All the times I compromise All the times you were denied You have forgiven) I'm not saying that this is the meaning. I just know that it could be taken that way if you REALLY waned to. |
