agree it is about someone with a big ego , but at the same time its saying by being such a big head you just generate resentment and alienation onto yourself.. The 'elephant' need everything they say to be treated as gospel but at the same time there is a desperation to this craving. Its basically song about your boss - even though they are a total cock and probably won't change they are proably far more lonely and wretched than you are! |

I'm not sure if we are allowed to talk about how the video relates to the lyrics on here but in the video 'bliss' seems to have quite far ranging connatations. even in a seemingly post-apocalyptic landscape you can still have fleeting moments of ecstasy and childlike abandon. the freedom in isolation of the man in the vid is emphasised by the fact that mans best friend tries to befriend him and irks him to the point he smacks it in the face. who can blame him really all he wants is to be left alone and the darn thing is trying to hump his leg. Definitively a video that enhances the meaning of the song. |
