Sounds to me like someone is trying/wanting/needing to save their relationship. The writer seems to be questioning his/her partner's feelings or resolve (last verse), but there is hope (Chorus). Also seems to be a willingness to fix the problems with the directions to do so (the bridge). Awesome song...it's sad and happy at the same time. I would love to know what was going on in the writers life at the time this song was written? Did someone have an affair...ect. |
