It's got to be about a guy who has been heartbroken by his last relationship, therefore "forsaken". He then meets another girl who is looking for his love("look into my eyes and take my hand"), but he is afraid to give any to her ("trying to silence the fear within me"). Even so, he finds himself slipping into love unintentionally as the she leads him on ("saw a crimson stain on her lips"). The guy has now completely "given himself up to her" and fallen head over heels. ("take me far away...to the ends of the earth"). He realizes in the end he has made the same mistake as before. ("Now you are mine"). Basically about the end of old relationships and the start of new ones to be really simplistic :) I likened this to my first breakup which was terrible and the girl whom I dated after that. |
