I feel this song is about a guy who is in love with someone who is about to get married. He is the host currently in Gold Coast, Australia thinking back of going to the wedding in Bordeaux, France to break it up but when he gets there he completely freezes. Sun sets North and mirrored walls are just explaining how depressed he is and he doesn't know which way is which anymore starring at the reflection in the mirrors. "Words speak and choose... Tall tail" I feel he is talking about when the preacher says "Speak now or forever hold your peace". Maybe the host felt even if he spoke she would still go on with the wedding, making him "forfeit the tall tale I always will." Blood is going thin is him talking about at the reception when everyone is drinking. He's starting to get drunk. He wants to tell everyone how he feels but he has his mouth sewn shut feeling if he did talk, negative things would come out. It's too late and he must "set it down" or be done with it. |
