| Ingrid Michaelson – You and I Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I love this song, but I always wonder if there was supposed to be a double meaning in "Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France" Does she mean a) Let's buy our parents' homes - as in buy the houses FROM our parents or b) Let's buy our parents homes - as in buy houses FOR our parents. Probably b (I don't think Ingrid is so cold-hearted), but if you just listen to the song, you actually hear two different meanings. I guess that means you can either do good or bad with your money. Clever play on the apostrophe, Ingrid! |
