| I saw Emery in concert right after this cd came out. Dear Death Part 2 was originally combined with Dear Death part 1 as one song. So to fully understand the song you have to take both parts into consideration. Toby said the motivation behind writing this song is a reoccurring dream he has about loosing his wife. This is just an interpretation of his dream and how he felt and what he saw. There is also a song about this dream on the latest cd "We Do What We Want"called The Curse of Perfect Days. The thought of loosing his wife is a great fear of Toby's and he makes if very evident in not one, but three of his songs. | |
