Oh, she's only using the word gay as a synonym for the word stupid, so everyone fussing about it should black off and stop being such a Jew about it... I don't think that it's a waste of time to be insulted by this song. The fact that gay didn't originally mean homosexual is completely irrelevant because it does know and she's TOTALLY saying "ur so happy". And, no, we don't "have to live with" people not respecting gays, women, African Americans and other groups, we have to stand up and make a change! We must strive for equality, and this song, which normalises the use if the word "gay" as an insult is a push in the wrong direction. Gay isn't "just a word", it's someone's sexuality. |
