What I love about this song is it's like a master-class in how not to apologise for cheating. First start by not accepting any resposibility - "Hey, she altered my senses, it's not my fault!", then try to pretend it's not a big deal anyway - "Hey, it's just a stupid mistake, like anyone could make!" . Finally, now your partner is seething inside, you just need a spark to blow the pwoder keg. How about the tried and tested "She means nothing to me!" line, which translates to: "Betraying your trust and hurting your feelings has a very low bar for me." Classic. |
