It hurts to read these comments and see the people that argue that it's not possible for Love to feel like this between two people. This song is most likely written about God, yes. However, the same words someone above used against Love between two people can be used toward it: "you are the strength that keeps me walking you are the hope that keeps me trusting you are the life to my soul you are my purpose you're everything" I am in a relationship that feels exactly like this. Without each-other, we would very well not be here on earth today. We are the strength, hope, life.. we are everything for each-other. This is the Love others talk about with their relationship with God, except in our case it's directed to another human. We have each been saved, literally, by the other. I know a good friend who is in Love with her significant other, and God. Neither is more important in her life than the other. I cannot believe there are so many comments arguing about the meaning of the song, when you are all correct. It's about Love, there is absolutely no doubt about it. Love, True Love, whether it be toward another human being or God himself... it feels the same. It is the same emotion. |
