The original PSY was an instrumental and was called Psychedelic. Why they added a story to it later, on their WORST album, who knows but the Surfers themselves. It would have been perfect if they just left the intro, “Here we go.... Here we go....
All I see inside my head is gentle silent secret snow; with shifting walls of blinding light, I'll have you know” Perfectly worded to begin a psychedelic journey. The rest shoulda been a dif song alltogether.

This song is AMAZING! I truly believe that its one of their best songs, musically. The words are again, Psychedelically oriented. “These images were conjured up while talking on the telephone” is the answer to the question. Their just images while talking on the phone and written down later, probably while tripping out. Everyone reading lyrics by the Surfers who have written poems or thoughts themselves (while tripping on psychedelic drugs) should understand that a lot of times the meaning is only behind the mind of the writer. The music is where it’s at and this song is GENIUS! |

Ok, these lyrics are not accurate but the point to this song is adlibbing on drugs. This is a Psychedelic story for the ages! It changes every time played live, but remains the same…a total visual trip out when listened to on headphones high. I believe this was one of the songs they wrote during those famous acid trips they took in the caverns. If you’re a true Butthole Surfer fan, you know what I am talking about. Awesome song! |

This song was one of the first to bring me to the Butthole Surfers as a fan. Anyways, I have always believed that this song was about heroine and perhaps overdoing it. |
