Nethero, it was a fair guess by Sastraxi. There are many references in the song that could easily be linked to Jesus. There are several questions asked about an unseen omniscient being. "Can he see or is he blind" could refer to the moral dilemma faced by people: can anyone see what Im about to do, and the next two lines could be asking if, given that he CAN see, does he have the power to do anything about it. Im not saying that the song is religious, because it isnt. Im just saying you shat on this guys life for making a very easy mistake. |

| Ozzy Osbourne – Mr. Crowley Lyrics

Actually, something interesting is that Crowley was born and raised Christian, specifically the Exclusive Brethren, a very conservative faction of Christianity. As a young man in a Catholic university, he often argued theology with his teachers about what he perceived to be incongruences in the bible. When his dad died, he disassociated himself from both schools of Christianity and jumped from cult to cult. He stuck with the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn for a little while, but then helped in the overthrowing of the leaders of the group. After a while, he spent time in Egypt, where he claimed to have been visited by his Guardian Spirit "Aiwass", who spent an hour with him each day for three days in a "temple" and passed down to him the "Book of Law". Then he founded the religion of Thelema in Celafu. |

As disgusted as I am by this interpretation, you're almost right. This song is about Freddie's being gay, but it's not about the actual act. It's about his sexual practices being his business. He's saying all these things to show that he's different, but that it shouldn't f*cking matter. |

Im not exactly sure what the song was intended to be about. Probably about the absurd standards our society places on women, the pressure to be perfect and skinny. He's saying that no man needs a beauty queen.
Unrelated: anyone else notice the reference to this song in "Bicycle Race"? |

My take on this song is kinda obvious. This is an incredibly emotionally charged song, very intense, like a barely contained inner turmoil. I feel that this song is about Freddie's struggle with his sexuality earlier in his life, before he "came out" or admitted to himself. It seems like a chapter out of his musical autobiography. |

Livvy_depp, Im right there with you. ;) Everyone wants to sing like Freddie. Theres just something about his voice...he always knew just how to emphasize every word. You could sing the exact same song, same notes, same rhythms and words...he had a gift. |
