The song is based (at least in part) on the poem: Do no go gentle into that good night by Dylan Thomas. the poem was written by Dylan to his dieing father and how he shouldn't give up his life, even at the end. I can only assume that the same holds here, and if its not his father, its someone he cares about and hes telling them to never give up. a great song, and a great way to make that poem into a song. http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/15377 |
