Song is about someone going through a tough time, but eventhough it all seems like its falling apart there is hope in the end. That sometimes you just can't see straight when it's this black. Another touching song that has helped me recover through some tough time :) |

This song is about a person trying to take suicide, but (s)he never wants to admit it to his friends. Something bad happened and it all seems so black. But despite all this sorrow (s)he always tries to fake it, allthough you might fake a smile, the eyes might reveal you as the writer clearly states that eventhough the person isn't saying anything there is something wrong. Every person surviving such tragedy in their life is a hero, and at the end of this song it clearly goes well with the person, that heaven can wait until later :) really touching song, i had a friend that took suicide so i really feel this one! |

I see that the manfred mann version is abit different than this version. In my opinion it's about a guy trying to get this girl that just never wants him. He came for love, not just sex. And he clearly calls her insane by saying that she's going to bellevue(a mental institute). That when she was sad and needed help she revealed her true color to him. Whatever he did it wasn't good enough for her. I don't know about you but i've atleast experienced that part myself, you try so hard to impress but whatever you do, sometimes it's not meant to be. He just wanted her, not her money, not her face or body, but her full love and passion. |

Well this song is most likely about a guy progressing through life, never give up, don't look back because someone will fill your shoes eventually. You will end up with the life you want to, giving your experience through life to other people. Awesome song btw :) |
